English at Work: Brings customized language lessons to the workplace

Learning and Tutoring Center of East Austin: Provides free tutorial services to help children in academic subjects such as reading and mathematics

East Austin College Prep: Tuition-free public school open to 2nd – 10th graders in Austin.

Austin Free -Net: Provides technology training and access for the community, fostering skills that enable people to succeed in a digital age

Capital IDEA: Lifts working adults out of poverty and into living-wage careers through education

Workforce Solutions: Helps Central Texans prepare for the workforce and get back to work.

Homebuyer Resources

Texas State Affordable Housing (TSAHC)
TSAHC provides access to fixed-rate mortgage financing, down payment assistance grants
and mortgage tax credits for homebuyers. TSAHC also supports services proven to help families overcome financial hardship and stay in their homes.

The Housing Authority of the City of Austin
Apply for public housing, learn about the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program and find other housing resources here.

Austin’s Tenant Council
ATC programs focus on housing discrimination, tenant-landlord education and information, and housing repair and rehabilitation. ATC also provides helpful resources to assist you in finding affordable housing that is tailored to your income and neighborhood.

Basic Needs Resources

First Call For Help- Dial 211

2-1-1 Texas is for anyone who needs help and doesn’t know where to turn. It is available statewide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is multilingual. This service is provided by United Way of Greater Austin.
