Donor-Advised Funds

If you have established a donor-advised fund (DAF), you can recommend a grant – or recurring grants – to Austin Habitat for Humanity and make an immediate impact on families in our community.  

Please share the following information with your DAF administrator:

You may also choose to name Austin Habitat for Humanity as a beneficiary of your donor-advised fund to create a lasting legacy and support affordable homeownership for generations to come. Please contact your DAF administrator for beneficiary designation forms and instructions.

Give Through Your IRA

Qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) from your retirement funds provide a smart, tax-advantaged way for individuals 70½ or older to support Austin Habitat for Humanity.

A QCD may satisfy all or part of your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA, while excluding some or all of your distribution from your taxable gross income, potentially reducing your tax liability. Because RMD age requirements have changed in recent years, please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.

For IRA contributions, please ask your IRA administrator to include your name with the donation paperwork so we can properly acknowledge and track your gift. 

You may also choose to name Austin Habitat for Humanity as a beneficiary of your IRA to create a lasting legacy. To do so, contact your IRA administrator or update your beneficiary designation through your financial institution’s website.
