Building homes, communities, and hope takes a lot of the behind-the-scenes work from dedicated volunteers. We have a variety of ways you can be invovled that don’t involve hard hats or tool belts!
You can play a huge part of helping us build homes without picking up a tool! Be a Site Host and help welcome, sign in, and coordinate the volunteers who will be building. A typical commitment is 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Individuals, teams, families, or youth groups can plug in by volunteering to provide and serve lunch to volunteers on Saturdays. A healthy lunch will help the volunteers on site recharge for the rest of the day!
Help us tell our story by volunteering your skills to capture our mission in action.
Austin Habitat’s ReStore sells used and surplus building and home improvement materials at a fraction of retail prices. It helps divert more than 2 million pounds of waste from the landfill each year while helping fund our construction and home repair projects. Volunteers help organize inventory, price donations, assist customers find items, create or improve displays, and more.
Put your professional skills to use during business hours, Monday through Friday. Help us with important tasks like answering phones, filing, data entry, mailings, graphic design, research, and specialized projects. Have a skill you think could help us? Let us know!
