Through our Home Repair Program and Affordable Homeownership Program, Austin Habitat for Humanity works to revitalize Bastrop neighborhoods and provide affordable homeownership opportunities. At Austin Habitat for Humanity, we believe all of our neighbors deserve a simple, decent place to live and in 2010, we started serving Caldwell County, just south of Travis County. By expanding into rural areas outside of Austin, we are able to serve more hardworking families in need. Austin Habitat for Humanity is excited to be serving San Marcos and Hays County after merging with San Marcos Habitat for Humanity in 2018. While the organization’s name may be slightly different, the commitment to the San Marcos community is the same, and the number of individuals and families served in this area will increase. Austin Habitat for Humanity is proud to have served Travis County since 1985, and we are excited to continue to serve the Austin area and evolve with the changing needs of the rapidly growing Austin area. To combat the growing affordability crisis, we’ve expanded our product offering in Travis County to include single-family freestanding homes, attached multi-family rowhomes and a 50-plus unit condo development.
