DIY: Repurposed Fan Blade Ghosts
Don’t be frightened by the simplicity of this DIY project! Austin Habitat ReStores almost always have fan blades in stock for a low price, and this is a great way to upcycle them into fun Halloween decor.
Step 1: Gather materials
• White ceiling fan blades (We found a pack of four in the ReStore for $5)
• Black paint
• Small paintbrush
• String/twine/rope/ribbon to hang the finished product
Step 2: Paint
You can paint your spookiest ghost face on each fan blade! Be sure to give them lots of personality! Feel free to start with pencil and then go in with paint. We also added some black shadow lines on the bottom with pencil to give a ghostly effect.
Step 3: Hang It
After your paint has dried, add the string (or whatever you have) to hang up your new spooky friend!
