At-Home Building Bar Activity: Pallet Christmas Tree

December 17, 2020

DIY Pallet Christmas Tree

Add a Christmas tree outside to match your indoor tree — you can never have too many!

Step 1: Gather materials

Here’s what you’ll need –

  • Pallet
  • Saw
  • Sawhorses
  • Safety glasses
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Green paint
  • Nail gun
  • Additional decor for tree

Step 2: Prep and cut the tree shape

Flip the pallet over, and remove all but the middle piece of wood found underneath. Then, flip it back over, and draw two diagonal lines from each of the bottom corners until they meet at the top forming a triangle. Cut along these lines and put excess wood pieces to the side. Secure the planks with additional nails in the middle.

Step 3: Prep and cut the tree shape

Secure the planks with additional nails in the middle, and if desired, apply green paint. Let fully dry before moving on to the next step.

Step 4: Finalize tree and display

Add finishing touches to your tree before displaying in the yard or on your porch. Lights, bows, and tinsel are all great choices!
