A: Championing women has never been more important—especially for diverse women. The largest transference of wealth is happening now, and women are the key beneficiaries. Empowering women to continue to use that wealth to drive change in our community is critical and will create a generational impact.

A: With housing everywhere becoming more and more expensive and out of reach to even those who could have afforded to be a homeowner ten years ago, Habitat’s mission to provide affordable housing and the dignity that comes with homeownership is paramount. Austin Habitat for Humanity is leading the way with aggressive build goals to serve the growing need in our community.
Q: How Can Other Women Engage in Affordable Housing?
A: It is vital that women understand the options available to them—including affordable housing. Mothers will do almost anything to give their kids a safe, dignified place to grow up—and Austin Habitat for Humanity is the answer in many cases. We need to make sure that women know this is an option and how they can qualify for an affordable home through Austin Habitat’s programs and services.
