The Austin Habitat for Humanity #WomenBuild brings women together to empower one another and build a stronger and safer community. This year we’re focusing on the month of May to celebrate #WomenBuild in Austin. Women and children make up the majority of people populating Austin Habitat neighborhoods as they are the most likely to be effected by poor living conditions. The #WomenBuild is an opportunity for women-owned and women-led organizations to partner with Austin Habitat to support affordable housing in Austin.
This September we will be celebrating our Build for Unity month! The Build for Unity Community Collective was founded on the premise that people of diverse faiths, cultures, views, and backgrounds can have the opportunity to come together to change lives. This is our most unique expression of collaboration that combines our commitment to building communities by physically building neighborhoods and creating community by enhancing connections among diverse groups and learning from one another to promote understanding and tolerance. By working side by side, everyone has the opportunity to learn from each other and meet the common goal of building a home for a deserving family in our community.
