Advocacy is an essential part of our mission at Austin Habitat for Humanity. We advocate for affordable housing not only in Austin but at the state and national levels too.

Removing Barriers to Homeownership: Zoning restrictions and high land prices make it difficult and often illegal to build the middle-income housing types that our community needs to address our growing affordable housing crisis. Cost of Home Campaign: At Austin Habitat for Humanity, we believe that no one should have to pay anywhere near half their paycheck on housing. However, nearly 19 million U.S. households are faced with this reality. Help us make affordable housing a reality for these households nationwide and make the #CostOfHome something we all can afford.
