Where We Build
Austin Habitat for Humanity has been serving Travis County since 1985, and since then we have expanded our service area to include Blanco, Bastrop, Caldwell, and Hays Counties. To date, we’ve built over 470 affordable homes, critically repaired more than 330 homes, and provided financial counseling to 11,000 individuals across Central Texas.

Housing costs are on the rise nationwide and this lack of affordable housing has had visible effects in Bastrop County. Through our Home Repair Program and Affordable Homeownership Program, Austin Habitat for Humanity works to revitalize Bastrop neighborhoods and provide affordable homeownership opportunities. Austin Habitat for Humanity is proud to serve Blanco County as part of our five-county service area through the construction of affordable homes, critical home repairs, and financial and housing counseling. At Austin Habitat for Humanity, we believe all of our neighbors deserve a simple, decent place to live and in 2010, we started serving Caldwell County, just south of Travis County. By expanding into rural areas outside of Austin, we are able to serve more hardworking families in need. Austin Habitat for Humanity is excited to be serving San Marcos and Hays County after merging with San Marcos Habitat for Humanity in 2018. While the organization’s name may be slightly different, the commitment to the San Marcos community is the same, and the number of individuals and families served in this area will increase. Austin Habitat for Humanity is proud to have served Travis County since 1985, and we are excited to continue to serve the Austin area and evolve with the changing needs of the rapidly growing Austin area.
